Hello, I read about Joule, but my attention is focused on Sumo and Flash because are both less heavy and more customizable: this is very important as I do 4 season alpinism. Hence It would be great for me to have an advice on those systems. Many Thanks

Asked by: Simone
Hi Simone, Thank you for your continued interest :) Per the above correspondence, both systems have great features. In your case, since you will be using this in the colder temperatures, I would recommend the Sumo as it has the fuel regulator.

Hi CSS, thanks to reply so quickly. I have a further question for you: which is the system you suggest to choose, if I'll use it mainly in winter and at high altitude? which are pros and cons you'd highlight? Thanks in advance

Asked by: Simone
Hi Simone :) Thanks for responding! Hands down, it's the Joule series as its inverted fuel can and regulator provide the performance of a liquid / multi-fuel stove. This series was designed for the lower temperatures and higher elevations. The only down side is that it is not compatible with the spare cups or the pot support. The bright side to that would be that it does now come in two sizes. The Joule comes with a 2.5 liter Fluxring cooking pot while the new MilliJoule has a 1.5 liter Fluxring pot. Which is the difference between a Flash system with additional 1.8L spare cup and a Sumo system with addition 1L spear cup?Could you point out pros/ cons of these options?Could you explain the differences between the burners of a flash and a sumo, if any?

Asked by: Simone
Hi Simone, Thank you for reaching out. The Flash cup has a color change heat indicator that is not offered in the Sumo or in any of our spare cups. Other than that all off our spare cups are compatible with both burners. The Flash burner has been updated to boil 16oz of water in only 100 seconds!! This comes in a minute under our other burners. While the Flash has the speed, the main difference in the two burners is that the Sumo has the simmer control, where the Flash does not. This is s great feature to have out on the trail.
